Student Review: “The University of Delaware has a truly great psychology program. At first, I was a little intimidated as all of my classes were filled to the brim with students. Psychology is apparently the most popular major in the university, so all of the introductory classes have upwards of 200 students in them. Those introductory courses are also pretty difficult; they’re meant to weed out the students who aren’t really serious. I admit, this period was hard to deal with, and I considered dropping the major. After this, however, the class sizes become a lot more manageable. The coursework became a lot more interesting as well, and I got to really connect with my professors. I managed to earn A’s or A-‘s in almost all of my courses for the major through consistent attendance and studying; as long as you put in the work, the professors are happy to reward you. Beyond the grades, I also feel that I learned a lot about the field, from history to its applications, and that this knowledge will help me in both my professional career and in my daily life. Overall, I highly recommend UDel’s psychology program, and implore anyone with even the slightest interest in the field to give it a try.” – Student at The University of Delaware
Student Review: “The University of Delaware psychology program was a below-average experience for me. The curriculum was challenging and I feel like I worked hard to get a good education that I received. On the downside, the professors did not seem very approachable to me and they did not always hold office hours at times that were convenient for the students in our major. They were accessible by email most of the time but not all things can be solved by email and be understood. The community life was always nice but a lot of younger students were not watched very well with their partying and it would sometimes affect other students learning abilities in classes.” – Student at The University of Delaware
Student Review: “The University of Delaware was a great education but left much to be desired. The teachers were mostly bland and forgettable except for a few. The coursework was relatively easy and the class sizes were all pretty small (except Intro courses). After I graduated I almost felt like I had just completed a High School version 2.0. Every day felt like the same and some days I lacked the motivation to even go to classes. However, there was one professor that really helped me stay focused and recommended I join more clubs and groups. I hope that the University invests in higher quality professors for future students.” – Student at The University of Delaware
